I'm sure many of you have had this issue: your customer walks in, their ring size is a 7 but their knuckle is a 9, making conventional rings hard to slip over the knuckle and if you do make it big to go over the knuckle, it will turn on the finger. Well we have a great solution for you. It's a hinged shank by Cliq.

Each one comes with this handy little pen with a probe on the end, and then the shank has a divot. You will push the probe into the divot, which unlocks the hinge. Now put this over the finger, clicks back, and you have a secure ring on the finger. Now the cool thing about these are our die struck heads, you can solder them right on top and you're ready to go.

When you receive your Cliq shank you'll notice that it leaves possibilities for you to modify it any way you'd like. For example, we're going to show you how to do a Tiffany style shank. This shank was actually cut out. We cut a seat to fit the head and notched out the head here to fit onto this shank. And then we assembled the head onto the shank and it's all done. And now I'll show you after it's all done, hit the divot, it can slide right over the knuckle, close it, and you have a happy customer.

So if a customer comes in with their existing ring and it no longer fits over their knuckle, this is an example we have here where you would cut out the orange area of the customer's ring and the Cliq shank. Then you're left with the half Cliq shank and the top head portion of the customer's ring that you would solder together. So after soldering you have your Cliq shank all done.

For this example, the customer's ring will need a little extra support here. So we will cut out the orange spots. If you notice here we're not cutting all the Cliq shank we're just cutting half that portion. On this example what we've done is we've cut that half portion and cut out the middle, which will give you extra support for the head and match the same design. And at the end, as you can see, the ring is all done, perfect.
