I'm going to raise the coil.

From temperature to metal casts, adjust your settings with just one dial.  

I'm going to apply power to the crucible to preheat it. You can see the smoke already started, it's driving some steam out, some moisture.  You don't want moisture around your metal, it's another source of oxygen.  It's going to quickly start glowing a dim red.  I'm going to turn the power off to the coil and load my metal into the crucible.  Put a little pinch of flux. A little boric acid I'm using the smallest amount you can get away with.   I'm going to apply heat to the crucible again. When I start to see the metal actually begin to fall because it's melting at the bottom first I'm going to go grab my flask real quick.   I always turn the power off when I'm loading a flask to keep me from getting a nice nasty little electrocution.  I'll drop the lid.  I'll put on the protective gas.  I'll get the melt up to temperature.  You can see my optical pyrometer working, and I start my spin.  

So the metal is actually going from the crucible into the flask. It'll spin I got it set for one minute. You want it to spin until the button on the casting solidifies.  That's the end of the spin.  The safety lock will go off, releasing the lock on the door. Remove my flask.  

If you need a different size flask, the EasyCast 12 can accommodate, much easier than other units.

You can quickly pull the cradle up and slide it forward in these slots to go to a smaller height flask.  Then to change your diameter, simply put your allen wrench and raise the flask to match the crucible.  So this is changing the height for different diameters by just moving it along these slots changes for the different lengths of flasks until you get it centered with your crucible.  That easy.
