Matt Fehring of Tech Jewelers discusses making a ring for a customer using CounterSketch
Video Transcript
For me all I offer is custom. So when they come into my store they know that they're going to get that custom experience. So they're kind of ready for all the changes that we can make. You know we talked about that we can change the prongs or we can change the shank or add diamonds or take away diamonds or we can add little floral details here and there and for the most part it's very well received. There's very few customers that come in and they're like no I don't like those changes, I want to go back to the original. You know once we make those changes they see what they can do, they see the power of customization and they love the pieces that they can create. I have a customer. He's very, he was originally like a mechanical engineer, something along those lines, very straightforward, this is exactly what he wants. He came in with a printout that he did in a 2D CAD program with the dimensions with exactly how he wanted it. You know, diamonds I want to be 30 degrees this direction, he had the height, the dimensions, he had everything and I laid it out in CounterSketch and it didn't take very long. It was a pretty quick project and when I came back he was absolutely thrilled. We matched his picture and to his design specifications and it wasn't really a customer I ever expected to do that for because he's been a customer for a while but it was fantastic that we were able to help and we were able to meet his needs and he was thrilled.
