Every year at the Bench Jewelers Workshop we get the same question: how do I safely dispose of my electro clean and acid dip?   I'm Sarah Boudreaux with Metals Technology and with this Stuller Hack I'm here to show you how.  

Before we begin let's address safety equipment.  You'll need gloves, safety glasses, and of course work beneath your ventilation hood.  In a separate beaker slowly mix your electro clean and acid dip together.  You will notice a foaming reaction.  Keep mixing slowly to avoid overflow.  Allow the chemicals enough time to react before dumping down the sink.  Now that your chemicals have finished reacting, turn on the tap water to allow further dilution and slowly pour your chemicals down the sink.
