Introducing the RinGenie Vise by SDL Precision.  It's ideal for diamond and jewel setting as well as engraving.  The vice is made mainly of stainless steel for long life without any corrosion.  It's designed for optics or non optic use.  It's small enough to be controlled using one hand for easy mobility, yet designed for use under a microscope or visor, using the positioning feature for ease of centering the workpiece.  What makes the vice revolutionary are the stationery pins which make adjusting the levers for movement much easier.  It's easier to position than most vices with very little effort due to its unique ball bearing design, and when it locks down it locks tight.  It's the only micro ball that is also a positioning vice.  The vice is fitted with soft copper jaw inserts as well as having a hole pattern on the top to fit most accessory kits.  It also comes with a 3/16 t-handle hex wrench that fits most the screws on the unit.  The copper jaws can be reversed using a 9/64 hex wrench to switch from flat to v-groove if needed.  The RinGenie vise is also designed for those who prefer bench holding devices rather than a standard ball.  The vice can adapt to a bench holding device with ease by using the bench adapter accessory sold separately.  By just loosening the set screw, lift the top base off the ball portion of the vice separating the top two pieces.  That will enable you to remove the roller bearing.  Then insert the bearing race first and the roller bearing second into the recess provided.  Take the top of the vise and slide it together with the adapter and then tighten lightly with a wrench provided.   Now it is set to use with the bench holding device.  This tool will give the jeweler the mobility of the bench tool as well as provide the versatility of the RinGenie Vise.
