We're going to be doing some chain repairs.  Here I have one chain looks to be yellow not yellow gold just yellow brass something like that.  And it was broken right around here and here.  Looks like somebody tried to repair it by just tying it together with some brass wire or something.   I'm going to clip that off and do it properly so that they won't be able to see where it was broken.  My first plan is to mark where I'm working because I don't want to lose it.  Whenever you're doing a laser repair on a chain you can easily lose it if you drop it so I'll just mark where I'm working at and let's get this one off.  Yeah you get off, you're being stubborn.  Clip this off, and done.  Also I'm going to just clip this one jump ring so that it opens up. I'm going to put it in some cross locking tweezers.  It always takes a long time with chains.  Open it up a little bit more, put it in, close it up. And I have my voltage set at 210 volts, four milliseconds, 0.6 millimeter beam diameter and shooting at about five Hertz and here we go.   I have a chain where you can kind of see where it's repaired but that's under 15 times of magnification.
