Frequently Asked Questions
What is a student account?
Designed for jewelry students, this account type allows you to purchase tools and equipment, packaging and displays, fabricated metals, findings, components, shanks, melee diamonds, and calibrated gemstones. It also offers access to our Clean Scrap program. You do not have to have a state resale certificate to have a student account or access these product types.
Who is eligible for a student account?
Anyone currently enrolled in an accredited or nonaccredited jewelry program is eligible.
Why does Stuller need my social security number?
The United States Treasury requires this as part of the Patriot Act of 2005.
I don’t have a social security number. Can I still have an account?
Yes. If you do not have a social security number, you will need to provide us with your Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN).
I’ve graduated. How do I upgrade my account?
To keep the same account access, all you need to do is send us a copy of your diploma. To upgrade to a full-access resale account, you must provide us with a state resale certificate. To do this, go to your My Account page, click Upgrade, and submit any additional information. You will be able to upload your certificate during this process. Once your account has been upgraded, you will have access to our entire inventory, including wholesale finished jewelry.
