Stuller, Inc. and Gemvision announce launch of CounterSketch Studio

Software simplifies jewelry customization in four easy steps

Lafayette, LA (27 October 2009) – Stuller, Inc. and Gemvision Corporation recently announced the beta launch of CounterSketch Studio (CSS).

CSS, a newly developed, three-dimensional jewelry-design platform, was first introduced in its developmental stages at various trade events during the summer. During the week of October 12, the DTC Sightholder launched a beta form of the software license to retailers.

According to Gemvision president, Jeff High, CSS differs from sister programs, such as Digital Goldsmith and Matrix 6, by simplifying jewelry customization into four easy steps:

  1. Browse pre-designed styles in the starting point inventory
  2. Make real-time, 3-D alterations using easy slider controls
  3. Send to Stuller for manufacturing fulfillment
  4. Receive the finished piece of jewelry in eight days or less

“All indications from this beta launch confirm that CounterSketch will revolutionize the jewelry industry,” says CEO, founder and president Matthew Stuller. “We’re very excited by the positive response we’ve received from our jewelers who have just completed the initial round of CSS training.”

The CSS training sessions for many of its beta retailers, held in Moline, IL and New York, NY, received rave reviews from retailer participants including Melinda Kroeger of Keck Jewelers in Belleville, IL.

“My first impression of the software is that it’s user-friendly and not intimidating at all,” says Kroeger. “In fact, after our first day of training, I looked at my associate and said everyone can work this program.”

Gemvision Corporation has facilities in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as a global network of Authorized Dealers providing two and three-dimensional CAD/CAM software, milling systems and both additive and subtractive prototyping systems.

Stuller, Inc. is headquartered in Lafayette, LA and was founded by Matthew Stuller in 1970. The DTC Sightholder has nine operations located on three continents around the world, and provides a wide range of goods and services for jewelry professionals. Stuller’s core product categories include: diamonds, gemstones, finished jewelry, mountings, findings, bridal jewelry, tools and supplies.
