- Third Arm
- Soldering Board
- Solder
- Soldering Pick
- Flux
- Boric Acid and Alcohol Solution

Steps:
1. Remove the chain from the original clasp it is hooked to and cut the old clasp from the chain.
2. Connect the tag and clasp using the jump ring.
3. Line the ends of the jump ring closed.
4. Add boric acid and alcohol solution to protect the metal from oxidation during heating.
5. Select solder (easy solder is recommended for its lower flow point).
6. Burn away alcohol on the solution and add some flux.
7. Glaze flame over the piece.
8. Toss the piece in the pickle pot to clean off residue.
9. Check solder to ensure pieces move freely and have full articulation.

Tips:
- Maintain the circular shape of the jump ring while twisting to close it with pliers.
- Choose from various kit qualities, sizes, and assortments.
- Avoid prolonged, up close exposure to direct flame. The bench kits are assortments of the most frequently used findings by bench jewelers. We build them to help bench jewelers stay stocked, organized, and ready for any project or repair they are working on.
