When working with an Asiga® 3-D printer, you want the most suitable resin for the job. Fortunately, Asiga® printers are the most versatile on the market and come with a slew of features that make them a must-have for anyone undertaking 3-D printing: each Asiga® printer comes with lifetime technical support, is WiFi enabled, and—most importantly—is an open-material system, meaning they accept any suitable third-party resin.
Below are four of our favorite Asiga® resins.
RESINS
Asiga® SuperWAX™ Resin
The first and only DLP resin that gives melts-like-wax authenticity, SuperWAX melts at 122°F (50°C). SuperWAX finishes with a smooth surface that requires no excessive post-production processing prior to treeing, which can occur as quickly as less than five minutes after printing. SuperWAX is suitable for not only gold, silver, and non-precious metals but also platinum. Requires no special burnout or post-curing.
Asiga® SuperCast HD Resin
Look no further for the smoothest cast possible. SuperCast HD is the result of years of Asiga®’s casting knowledge, and it shows: through Asiga®’s unique nanotechnology, SuperCast HD delivers a superior surface smoothness and detailed definition. This resin is perfect for gold casting and has a clean burnout and great castability.
Note: SuperCast HD requires post-curing for optimal results.
Asiga® SuperCAST v3 Resin
For the most durable print under standard 12-hour burnout conditions, use SuperCAST v3, Asiga®’s highest definition direct-casting material. SuperCAST leaves behind no ash and no residue, leaving you with a strong, high-resolution end result.
Note: SuperCAST v3 requires post-curing for optimal results.
