In Stuller Labs, we continuously research and test new, innovative ideas to improve our manufacturing processes and provide the best tools for bench jewelers. Many tools and work solutions that we use in our processes were developed in-house including the Stuller Bur™.
The Stuller Bur

David DeMoia has been with Stuller for 23 years.
R&D Senior Process Engineer David DeMoia and I were equally involved in designing the Stuller Bur. We created it because we saw the need for a better bur. Ultimately, the real prize for all of us working in R&D is when we go online and see the comments of how excited stone setters are about this bur. We love meeting bench jewelers that are teaching stone setting classes at their own schools — all utilizing the Stuller Bur. That’s the true reward for everyone on the Research and Development team.
